More than 100,000 people have been killed in fighting in Syria, said on Wednesday, when the proposed peace conference in Geneva is likely to postpone the defeat of stopping the bloodshed there.
Supervisor Syrian Human Rights (SOHR), which relies on a network of activists and officials on the ground for its information, said today that the number of victims of the civil war in Syria is 100.191 people, RFE broadcasts.
This figure is testament to the level of violence that has gripped the country, which has been troubled since March 2011, when peaceful protests began against the regime of Bashar al-Assad.
