With more than 40 killed in Iraq
Baghdad, June 25 - More than 40 people have been killed in Iraq in the past 24 hours have announced enforcement authorities. Baghdad is the worst hit with 39 killed. The attacks occurred on the Shiite and Sunni neighborhoods. Violence in Iraq has claimed more than 2,000 lives since the beginning of April. Interior Ministry spokesman in Iraq said al-Qaida is avoiding direct confrontation with security forces and instead is attacking civilian targets.
